Camp Victory is closely affiliated with Rock Creek Disable Outdoors (RCDO). Camp Victory was inspired by RCDO’s founder, the late Dale Petkovsek. His influence and motivations as a local farm boy, business owner , and quadriplegic are sorely missed but perpetually present. RCDO’s website is sunsetpinesresort.com. RCDO is also a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Visiting their website will help you understand and appreciate the largest disabled DNR sanctioned deer hunt in North America. Three accessible cabins, several electrically-serviced campsites, plus secondary campgrounds surround an event shelter suitable for weddings, reunions, etc. All are available for rent. Restrooms and roll-in shower for disabled individuals are part of the shelter’s campground complex.
Camp Victory also cooperates with other large, significant, established Wisconsin disabled outdoor organizations including North American Squirrel Association (NASA) of Lacrosse, Wisconsin; Adaptive Sportsman of Greenfield, Wisconsin, (Milwaukee area); “Fishing Has No Boundaries” Hayward, Wisconsin; plus others.
“Outdoor Bound” with Kurt Walbeck featured Rock Creek Disabled Outdoor as well Camp Victory (when it was Wisconsin Adventures on Wheels). Click here for Episode 28 or search on your Internet browser for “Outdoor Bound Episode 28” to go to YouTube and watch it.
